SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Tidy Seas, a non-profit that started as a group of friends and has now grown with an array of participants, bagged up buckets of trash Sunday around Mission Creek east of Stearns Wharf in Santa Barbara.

Ryan Wong is a co-founder of Tidy Seas. "So my dream was to just do the dirty work, pick up trash and do it consistently."

KEYT NEWS: TIDY SEAS EXPANDS CLEAN UP EFFORTS TO WEEKLY EVENTS ALONG THE COAST

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The non-profit group Tidy Seas has seen a growth in volunteers this summer, to the point where it is launching a weekly clean up effort.

While some groups wait until a special event or environmental anniversary, Tidy Seas founder Ryan Wong said he is gathering a beach clean up crew every Wednesday. It's called the Tidy Seas' Summer Clean-Up Series.
