On Sunday, we teamed up with @ccacalifornia and Am Vets Santa Barbara Post 3 to clean up West Beach! 🌴🏖️ We had an amazing turnout and collected tons of trash, making a real impact for our oceans. 💪🌎

After the cleanup, the Am Vets crew treated us to an awesome BBQ 🍔🔥, and @ccacalifornia hosted an incredible raffle with some amazing prizes! 🎟️🎣 Huge thanks to everyone who came out—we can’t wait for the next one! 🙌✨

Stormwater runoff has to go somewhere… and Mother Nature is making it clear she doesn’t want it! 😂 We stepped in to clean up the mess left behind and keep our beaches looking their best.

🌎 Fun Fact: Just one inch of rain in a city can generate millions of gallons of stormwater runoff, carrying trash and pollutants straight to the ocean. That’s why cleanups after storms are so important!

🏈 Happy Super Bowl Sunday! 🌊 While the game is in full swing, we’re out in Ventura picking up trash and keeping our coast clean! ♻️✨

Did you know? Super Bowl Sunday is one of the biggest days for waste in the U.S.! Over 50 million pounds of food waste and tons of plastic cups, bottles, and packaging get thrown away today alone! 😳🚯

Please make sure to recycle when possible, but more importantly, choose reusable cups, containers, and bags whenever you can! Every small action makes a big difference. 🌎💙

🚨 Trap Recovery Mission 🚨

We teamed up with @cfsb.info and a group of commercial fishermen for a quick strike mission to recover traps that washed ashore! 🦞🌊 The crew crushed it—💪 hauling out 30 traps before we ran out of room. There are still a few left, so we’ll be heading back soon to finish the job! 🛶♻️

73 volunteers. 103 pounds of trash. That’s 103 pounds less polluting our oceans, harming wildlife, and washing up on our shores. This isn’t just a cleanup—it’s a movement. A promise. A fight for the future of our planet.

Every bottle cap, every plastic bag, every tangled fishing line we remove is a stand against the destruction of our home. And we’re just getting started. 💪

After an amazing cleanup at West Beach today, we heard about a buried lobster trap north of Hendry’s Beach. 🦞💡 Thanks to our @agmproducts jack—donated by them—we were able to lift a trap filled with rocks and get underneath it! 💪♻️

Our Mission

Tidy Seas is here to educate and bring communities together to help relieve our beaches, coastlines, deserts, and Islands from trash and marine debris.

Who We Are

Tidy Seas was founded by Santa Barbara natives Ryan Wong and Randy Hughes after witnessing a boat recklessly dump bags of trash into the ocean. This shocking moment inspired the creation of a passionate community of volunteers dedicated to protecting our environment. Together, we clean beaches, educate communities about marine debris prevention, and work to preserve our coastlines for future generations.
